Small holder farmersare working well in managing poultry at their homes, backyards and farms. The target community has been benefiting from the production of eggs for nutrition and increased income.
The production of locally adaptable sheep generates household income through the sale of live animals, provides meat (animal protein) for families, manure for fertilizing cropping land and contributing to meets other socio-economic needs.
The production of improved vegetable varieties in the household backyard, and farms generates household income through the sale of excess of the production, increase household meal diversity and contributing for improving livelihood and resilience.
The small farm holders are taking capacity building trainings before provision of the improved farm inputs which is contributing for better animal and crop production and productivity.
